Hello, I'm Jonas Kim

I'm a Senior Data Scientist at AWS Professional Services Korea. For over 15 years I've worked as a data scientist and machine learning engineer, living at the seam between research papers and production systems — turning frontier ideas into things that actually run.

This blog is what I collect along that seam. I follow the weekly flood of LLM, multimodal, and agent research, but the rule here is simple: keep asking why it matters, not just what the benchmark says. I care more about the design decisions and trade-offs beneath a result than the result itself.
